Our Mills

Where Quality Is Made

CTI's products don't start on a shipping container. They start at the mill, where our on-site quality engineers oversee raw material selection, production tolerances, and finished product inspection before a single piece is shipped. This is what is means to oversee the quality of our products from raw materials through production until delivery: CTI personnel are present at every facility in our network, applying CTI's quality standards at the source rather than inspecting problems after the fact.

Our global manufacturing network spans six countries across three continents, with production facilities in the United States, China, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Brazil. Each facility is selected for its regional strengths, species access, manufacturing expertise, labor capability, and logistics efficiency and is operated or affiliated under CTI's quality program, which mandates consistent standards regardless of geography.

Over the past six years, CTI has invested more than $31 million in expanding and upgrading manufacturing capacity outside of China, building a more diversified and resilient production network that reduces single-source risk for our customers and accelerates our growth into new product categories.

At our Atlanta production facility, we design, develop, and deliver door components for building product manufacturers, distributors, and dealers. Established to serve the growing demand for domestically produced door components with fast lead times and flexible customization, the Atlanta facility is CTI's most technologically advanced production environment, a purpose-built operation designed around the speed, precision, and flexibility requirements of door pre-hanging operations across the eastern United States.

The Atlanta facility serves customers throughout the eastern United States, with freight routing optimized for one- and two-day delivery to major distribution centers and door manufacturing operations across the region.

SUPERIOR LOGISTICS

Integrated Supply Chain

CTI doesn't just make products; we deliver them. Our team manages the full logistics chain from mill to customer dock, including ocean freight booking and tracking, customs clearance and documentation, domestic drayage and warehousing, and final delivery coordination. For customers who want to focus on their business rather than managing an international supply chain, CTI acts as a single point of accountability from production through delivery.

CTI's logistics team provides proactive communication throughout every shipment: customers know where their order is, when it will arrive, and are notified promptly if any disruption affects their schedule. This end-to-end approach is why CTI has built multi-decade relationships with customers who depend on millwork supply as a critical input to their own manufacturing and distribution operations.

  • Ocean freight booking and tracking

  • Customs clearance and import documentation

  • Domestic drayage, warehousing, and distribution

  • Proactive order status communication throughout fulfillment

Mill FAQs

  • CTI manufactures products across six countries: the United States (Atlanta, Georgia), China, Cambodia, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Brazil. Each facility is either CTI-owned or operated under CTI's affiliated quality program, with CTI quality engineers present on-site at all production locations.

  • Yes. CTI's Atlanta, Georgia facility is a 108,069 sq. ft. domestic production facility specializing in door components through the Apex Door System™ program. Domestic production enables a 21-day standard lead time and eliminates import-related supply chain variability. The Atlanta facility serves customers throughout the United States.

  • CTI employs quality engineers who are stationed full-time at all owned and affiliated mills worldwide. These on-site engineers oversee production processes, inspect materials at multiple checkpoints, and enforce CTI's quality standards in real time — before finished product is shipped. Every CTI order includes quality reporting that provides customers with production status and inspection data throughout fulfillment.

  • Yes. Over the past three years, CTI has invested more than $26 million in manufacturing capacity outside of China, expanding and upgrading facilities across Southeast Asia and the Americas. This investment increases production capacity, reduces single-source dependency, and supports CTI's growth into new product categories including the Apex Door System domestic program.

  • CTI's US facility (Atlanta) manufactures door components on ProtecDoor™, SuperComp, Pine, and LVL substrates. China mills produce primed pine profiles on Radiata and Taeda Pine, LVL, MDF, SuperComp, and ProtecDoor™ products. Southeast Asia mills provide access to Falcata (Indonesia), Java Hardwood (Indonesia), and plantation pine species (Cambodia, Malaysia). Brazil mills source and process Radiata Pine and Taeda Pine from South American plantation forests.

QUALITY AT THE MILL

How CTI Is Different

Most millwork suppliers buy products from mills they don't own and manage quality through end-destination inspection, catching problems after they have already been manufactured and shipped. CTI's model is fundamentally different. We manage quality at the point of production, with CTI-employed engineers present at every facility in our network.

QUALITY CONTROL AT THE MILL

When a quality issue emerges, our team identifies and resolves it before the affected material is processed into finished product. That includes:

  • Material with moisture content outside specification

  • Tooling changes that shift a profile dimension

  • Substrate inconsistencies in a raw material shipment

  • Any deviation from CTI's production standards

The result is fewer defects, fewer returns, and fewer field problems for CTI customers.

TRANSPARENCY AT EVERY STAGE

CTI orders are accompanied by real-time quality reporting that gives customers full visibility throughout fulfillment, including:

  • Production status at each stage

  • Inspection results and checkpoint sign-offs

  • Documentation of any exceptions and how they were resolved

This transparency is part of CTI's commitment to treating customers as partners rather than transactions.
