The Apex Door System™ is CTI's proprietary exterior door component program. It provides door pre-hangers with a complete, coordinated set of components (frames, sills, jambs, weatherproofing, and machining) all available from a single domestic production facility in Atlanta, Georgia. The system is designed to reduce in-shop labor by moving customization operations upstream, where CNC machines handle mitering, drilling, weatherstrip installation, and other prep work before components arrive at the pre-hanger's facility.
CTI Door Components are manufactured at our Atlanta, Georgia production facility, which spans 108,069 square feet and operates 11 CNC machines. Domestic production enables a 21-day standard lead time and eliminates the supply chain variability associated with overseas manufacturing.
The standard lead time for the Apex Door System is 21 days from order confirmation. This domestic production lead time is significantly shorter than import alternatives and supports production schedules that require reliable, predictable delivery windows.
CTI offers an extensive range of machining and customization options, including: mitering and stop mitering, dado cutting (head and sill), sill notching and cutting, custom widths and lengths, pre-drilling (frames and mull posts), weatherstrip installation (separate or pre-stuffed), hinge and strike prep (single, double, or triple strike), 20-minute fire stamping, mull post haunch cuts, hinge pre-application, and automated stop stitching.
Apex Door System frames are available in multiple substrate options to suit different performance requirements and price points. ProtecDoor™ is a popular choice — CTI's proprietary composite that combines a finger-jointed pine body with a four-inch rot-resistant composite bottom, placing moisture-resistant material at the most vulnerable part of the frame while retaining the workability of natural wood throughout the rest. Contact our sales team to discuss which substrate is the right fit for your program.
Yes. The Precision Series Sill saddle configuration is designed to meet the ADA requirement for a maximum threshold height of 1/2 inch at accessible entrances, making it suitable for projects subject to accessibility requirements under the Americans with Disabilities Act or local building codes.
CTI backs its door component products with a product warranty. Specific warranty terms vary by product category. Warranties can be viewed here.
Yes. Individual door component categories (frames, sills, jambs, and weatherproofing products) are available as standalone purchases for customers who are sourcing specific components to complement an existing program or sell products individually. Contact our sales team to discuss your specific requirements.
