At Composite Technology International (CTI), we believe that true quality starts at the source. Today, we are proud to announce a significant expansion of our global footprint through a new Joint Venture with the Dissenha Group, a fourth-generation industry leader in Brazil.
This Joint Venture establishes a long-term industrial and commercial partnership focused on supplying the global market with sustainably sourced, high-quality wood products. While the partnership immediately strengthens our production capacity, the true foundation of this collaboration lies in the land itself.
By aligning with Dissenha, CTI is not simply securing wood supply; we are partnering with a steward of over 30,000 hectares of responsibly managed land, including FSC-certified production forests and preserved native forest areas.
A Legacy of Stewardship: More than 30,000 Hectares Strong
In an industry often scrutinized for its environmental impact, Dissenha stands apart with a forestry management model consolidated over more than 80 years of activity. Long before “sustainability” became a corporate buzzword, the Dissenha family was already implementing practices designed to safeguard its land for future generations.
The scale of this stewardship is substantial. The Group manages approximately 30,000 hectares of responsibly managed land. Of this total, around 10,000 hectares are FSC-certified forests dedicated to production, while nearly 65% of the overall land area remains fully preserved native forest, protecting critical biodiversity and ensuring long-term environmental balance.
This long-term commitment protects some of the region’s most valuable biodiversity, including one of the largest remaining stands of Imbuia and extensive Araucaria forests. It also ensures that all raw materials used in production are sourced responsibly, balancing industrial output with environmental preservation.
Two Companies, One Shared Vision
The decision to form this Joint Venture was driven by a strong alignment of values and long-term objectives. CTI brings deep commercial expertise and a comprehensive understanding of global markets, while Dissenha contributes operational maturity, forestry know-how, and an industrial infrastructure prepared for international expansion.
Both companies will maintain their operational independence, while jointly governing the venture through shared strategic planning, aligned quality standards, and a unified commitment to sustainability.
José Nelson Dissenha Neto, CEO of the Dissenha Group, views the partnership as a natural evolution of the company’s history:
“For us, carrying a legacy of four generations, this partnership represents more than expansion — it is the continuation of our commitment to sustainability, innovation, and responsibility. Together with CTI, we are opening a new chapter in our history, connecting our forestry origins with the global future we are building.”
For CTI, the partnership reinforces a core belief that true quality begins well before the finished product. As Griff Reid, CEO of CTI, explains:
“At CTI, we have always believed that 'Quality Matters,' but true quality goes beyond the finished product; it begins with the land itself. Partnering with the Dissenha Group is a milestone for our company, not just because it expands our capacity, but because it aligns us with a multi-generational legacy of environmental stewardship.
Gaining access to over 30,000 hectares of native forest and FSC-certified timber allows us to offer our customers something rare in today’s market: a supply chain that is as sustainable as it is reliable. We are excited to join forces with the Dissenha family to build a future where operational growth and environmental responsibility go hand in hand.”
Capacity, Logistics, and Future Growth
For CTI customers, this partnership delivers immediate supply chain relief and long-term security. The joint venture immediately adds an installed capacity of 36 containers per month, helping to reduce backlogs and stabilize shipment cadence for the U.S. market.
The facility, located in a mature production hub in Southern Brazil, benefits from efficient road networks and proximity to key export ports like Paranaguá and São Francisco do Sul, ensuring competitive logistics costs and shorter lead times.
This partnership also strengthens long-term supply continuity, reducing exposure to market volatility and reinforcing CTI’s ability to serve customers with consistency and predictability.
Looking ahead, we are already planning for growth. We have outlined investments to double production by 2027, including the development of an in-house sawmill and a pellet manufacturing facility. To ensure consistency, Dissenha’s operations will fully integrate CTI’s international quality protocols, including joint audits and real-time shipment monitoring.
Building a Global Future
This Joint Venture represents a strategic step forward for both organizations, aligning sustainable forestry, industrial capability, and global market access. Together, CTI and the Dissenha Group are building a supply chain that is robust, reliable, and deeply rooted in responsible environmental stewardship.
We look forward to delivering the results of this partnership to our customers beginning in 2026 and beyond.
