At CTI, Southeast Asia is not simply part of our supply chain; it is central to our long-term manufacturing strategy.

The region offers a powerful combination of resources, mature wood processing infrastructure, and scalable production capacity. When paired with CTI’s global quality standards and technical oversight, Southeast Asia becomes more than a sourcing location. It becomes a strategic manufacturing engine designed for consistency and growth.

Matching Fiber to Function

Our philosophy is straightforward: match each product to the fiber and manufacturing ecosystem best suited to support it.

Across Southeast Asia, we carefully align raw material selection with processing expertise to ensure performance and efficiency. Cambodia and Malaysia utilize plantation-grown pine imported specifically for millwork applications, providing controlled fiber quality and stability. Cambodia and Thailand also support LVL and plywood platforms using local and regional plantation-grown tropical species, creating reliable engineered solutions.

Indonesia plays a particularly significant role within our network, with approximately 85 percent of production centered on locally plantation-grown Falcata. This supports large-scale finger joint programs while maintaining efficiency and sustainability.

Rather than forcing materials into applications where they don’t belong, we design each product platform around the natural strengths of the region producing it. Learn more about our engineered substrates here.

Global Standards, Local Execution

A global footprint only works if quality remains consistent across borders.

CTI’s Southeast Asia operations operate under the same global standards as every region within our network. That includes direct mill oversight, standardized quality control systems, substrate engineering expertise, LVL optimization programs, grading systems aligned to CTI specifications, and scalable production platforms.

Our teams maintain active mill partnership management and boots-on-the-ground engagement to ensure processes are aligned and continuously improving. Cross-training and technical collaboration help preserve uniformity in specifications and performance, regardless of where the product, such as baseboards and crown mouldings, is manufactured.

Technology and Infrastructure Built to Scale

Southeast Asia’s wood processing infrastructure is both mature and technologically advanced. Modern kiln systems, engineered panel platforms, finger joint operations, and precision milling lines allow us to support high-volume programs without compromising detail or consistency.

By combining regional manufacturing strengths with centralized quality oversight, CTI creates a repeatable, scalable system designed for long-term growth.

The objective across all regions is consistent quality, responsible fiber sourcing, optimized production efficiency, and the ability to scale alongside our customers.
